Evolving the Yabbit the Rabbit Brand: From Storybook to Emotional Connection
Since writing The Rabbit in the Moon, so much has changed. Not only have Yabbit the Rabbit and the supporting characters evolved, but the tone, structure, and heart of the story have shifted as well.
And with those changes comes a new challenge: redefining our brand positioning.
Branding vs. Marketing
A lot of people confuse branding with marketing, but they’re not the same thing.
Branding is about how people perceive you, the emotions and values your story inspires.
Marketing is how you create awareness for that brand and share it with the world.

For me, branding Yabbit the Rabbit means making sure that every piece of content, every story, illustration, and message, reflects what the character stands for: courage, curiosity, and kindness.
Reimagining Yabbit the Rabbit
In the original version, Yabbit the Rabbit was, if I’m being honest, a bit of a brat. His stubborn and defensive nature was meant to create contrast and drive personal growth.
But in this new chapter, I wanted to introduce a version of Yabbit that children and adults could love immediately, a character full of curiosity and vulnerability rather than defiance.
This change redefined the emotional core of The Rabbit in the Moon. Yabbit is no longer learning from mistakes born of attitude, but from moments of hesitation, from the times he almost said “Yeah but…”
The Supporting Cast: More Than Background Characters
In The Rabbit in the Moon, each supporting character, Snail, Bat, She-Wolf, and Owl, serves a specific purpose.
They don’t create problems or magically solve them; instead, they act as mirrors that help Yabbit discover courage within himself.
Together, they reinforce the brand’s central belief:
“Trying is Brave.”
Their presence shows that bravery often starts small, with encouragement, with kindness, and with someone believing in you.
Building an Emotional Brand
My goal for the Yabbit the Rabbit brand is to create an emotional connection with readers, parents, and teachers.
This brand isn’t just about a story, it’s about an experience. It’s about helping families and classrooms spark conversations about courage, self-confidence, and perseverance.
For me, Yabbit the Rabbit and The Rabbit in the Moon go beyond books. They represent a storytelling experience built around hope, empathy, and the belief that bravery begins with simply trying.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, the brand’s foundation, its message, tone, and characters, will guide everything we create: from illustrations to website design, from merchandise to future stories.
The Yabbit the Rabbit universe will continue to evolve, but its heart will always stay the same.
Because in every language, in every story, and on every page…
Trying is Brave.
